March to War

March to War fits a slower Paladin deck that wants a cheap late-game threat, especially one with Divine Shield or spell synergies: with more Mana left after casting it, the Soldier becomes much larger. It is a poor early play, though—on turn one, spending your only Mana leaves you with a 0/0 Soldier. Aggressive Paladin decks would rather run reliable one-drops such as Righteous Protector, which immediately provides a 1/1 with Divine Shield and Taunt. I would consider March to War a niche option for a slower synergy deck, not a card that should see widespread play.
