Unstable Prototype would mainly benefit a slow-to-midrange handbuff deck—especially Paladin or a neutral Mech/Menagerie deck that keeps several minions in hand—because Reborn can allow its Deathrattle to trigger twice, potentially giving your hand +2/+2; however, it is much weaker in aggressive Mech decks that want immediate board impact, and it risks doing nothing if your hand is empty or the opponent removes it without letting the Deathrattle resolve. Grimestreet Outfitter is generally better for the same role because it costs one mana and gives the buff immediately, while Glowstone Technician is stronger in slower Paladin handbuff lists because it provides a larger +2/+2 buff, so Unstable Prototype should only see play if it has unusually strong stats for its cost or if a Mech-specific handbuff strategy is particularly well supported.
