A deck that focuses on controlling the board with a variety of colored permanents would benefit from using Conqueror's Flail, as it can quickly boost the equipped creature's power and toughness while also shutting down opponents' ability to cast spells during your turn. However, in a competitive setting, cards like Cranial Plating or Sword of Fire and Ice might be better options due to their versatility and immediate impact on the game. While Conqueror's Flail has its strengths, it may not see as much play compared to other powerful equipment cards available in the format.

If you move Conqueror’s Flail from one creature to another, there’s no time in between that it’s not attached to a creature. Assuming it’s your turn, your opponents won’t be able to cast spells.

The first ability of Conqueror’s Flail constantly updates as the number of colors among permanents you control changes. If the number of colors decreases and the damage that was marked on the equipped creature earlier in the turn is now lethal damage, that creature is destroyed. Similarly, if its toughness becomes 0, that creature is put into its owner’s graveyard.
