This card, Lay Down Arms, would be beneficial in a White Weenie or Mono-White Aggro deck that focuses on controlling the board by removing small threats and gaining life to outlast opponents. However, there are better options available, such as Path to Exile or Swords to Plowshares, which provide more efficient creature removal without the restriction of Plains control. Lay Down Arms may not see much play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks due to its limitations compared to these more versatile removal spells.
