This card, Mask of C'Thun, would be beneficial in a mage control deck that focuses on clearing the board and dealing damage to multiple enemies at once. While it can be a powerful board clear, there are better options available such as Flamestrike which deals 4 damage to all enemy minions. However, Mask of C'Thun could still see play in certain mage decks that aim to control the board and deal burst damage to the opponent.
