Supernova would be particularly beneficial in a Mage deck focused on spell synergy, especially those that capitalize on low-cost spells for quick damage or board control, such as a Tempo or Spell Mage deck. While there may be other cards that generate spells, such as Sorcerer's Apprentice or Fireball, Supernova's ability to fill your hand with low-cost spells can be more advantageous in certain scenarios.
