HearthStone: New Expansion Announced - Final Showdown in the Badlands!

Announced on October 17, 2023, Showdown in the Badlands will be released worldwide on November 14, 2023, with 145 new cards. The expansion's animation trailer will be revealed during Blizzcon which will take place on November 3rd and 4th, 2023 in Anaheim, California.

Confront or join Sheriff Barrelbrim

Even though he threatens the health and safety of citizens and workers, the Sheriff Barrelbrim, owner of the Bloodrock Mining Company’s, does not want to stop his activities in the Badlands. To face him, the outlaw Elise, Savior of the Wastes will join forces with allies to try to finish him off. When always acting alone, outlaws gain special effects whenever there are no duplicate cards in their deck.

Mechanics: Quickdraw

A new mechanic was added in this expansion: Quickdraw. Cards with this mechanic, if played in the same turn they are drawn, activate their bonus effect.

Mechanics: Excavate

Another mechanic introduced in this new collection is Excavate. Every time a player plays a card with this keyword, they will receive a Treasure of the level they are in, thus advancing to the next level. The higher the grade, the better and rarer the treasures become.

When the player first activates Excavate, they will receive one of five possible Common Treasures of 1 mana. On the second activation, you will receive one of five Rare Treasures of 2 mana. Finally, the third time, one of five 3 mana Epic Treasures*. As the mine runs out, the rewards will start again, beginning with common items and going through all grades again.

There are a total of 15 Neutral Treasures from Excavation that all classes can discover, five of each rarity.

Some classes manage to reach a higher level, obtaining Legendary Treasures of 4 mana, these being the Death Knight, Mage, Rogue, Warlock and Warrior classes.

The Showdown in the Badlands Mega Bundle includes 80 Showdown in the Badlands card packs, 10 Golden Showdown in the Badlands card packs, 1 random Showdown in the Badlands Signature Legendary card, 1 random Showdown in the Badlands Golden Legendary card, the Ulfar Druid Hero Skin, and the Ulfar card back.

The Showdown in the Badlands Bundle includes 60 Showdown in the Badlands card packs, 2 random Showdown in the Badlands Legendary cards, and the Ulfar card back.

Pre-Purchase bundles will only be available until the launch of Showdown in the Badlands, on November 14.
