Blastpowder Engineer would best fit an aggressive Pirate Warrior deck that floods the board with cheap Pirates and aims to end games quickly, since its effect increases your Pirates’ damage during your turn and rewards wide, proactive attacks; it could also be considered in a Pirate-based dual-class or neutral-heavy aggressive deck if available, but it is unlikely to suit slower Warrior strategies. In most cases, Southsea Captain is the better Pirate payoff because it permanently grants friendly Pirates +1/+1, improving both their attack and survivability rather than only boosting damage during your turn, while cards such as Ship’s Cannon or other immediate-impact Pirate support may also provide greater tempo. Unless Blastpowder Engineer has unusually strong stats or Pirate Warrior is specifically lacking damage buffs, it probably should not see competitive play because it is conditional, vulnerable, and offers less value than stronger Pirate-synergy options.
