Convalescence is a low-cost Paladin token generator that would fit best in aggressive or board-centric decks like Aggro Paladin, Dude Paladin, or Silver Hand Recruit–synergy builds, since it provides immediate board presence and synergizes well with buffs (e.g., Warhorse Trainer–style effects, Lightfused Stegodon in Wild, or modern handbuff/board-buff cards) and Divine Shield synergies; however, at 2 mana for two 1/1 Divine Shield minions, it competes with historically stronger options like Muster for Battle (which summons three 1/1 Recruits and equips a weapon) or more flexible modern token tools that either generate more stats or add additional value, so while it’s solid for early pressure and sticky boards, it would likely only see play if the meta strongly rewards Divine Shield synergy or early board flooding, as more efficient or higher-impact Paladin cards generally outperform it in competitive lists.
