This Goldshire Footman card would be beneficial in a beginner deck or a budget deck that needs a cheap Taunt minion for early game board control. However, in more competitive decks, there are better options such as Shieldbearer or Annoy-o-Tron which provide more value for the same cost. Overall, Goldshire Footman may not see much play in higher level decks due to its limited impact compared to other available options.
