Mind Sweeper fits best in a **Thief/Copy Priest** archetype that consistently generates and plays copies of the opponent’s cards (through effects like Identity Theft, Theotar-style steals, or other copy mechanics), since its payoff depends on having played an opponent’s card while holding it; in that kind of tempo‑value Priest, it can act as a conditional 2‑damage AoE attached to a 2‑mana 3/2 body, which is efficient if activated early. However, Priest generally has more reliable and stronger board clears such as **Holy Nova**, **Clean the Scene**, or **Harmonic Pop**, which don’t require setup and scale better into midgame boards, making Mind Sweeper somewhat inconsistent and matchup‑dependent. As a result, it’s a niche inclusion for synergy-heavy Thief Priest lists but is unlikely to see widespread competitive play unless the meta heavily rewards cheap conditional AoE in aggressive matchups.
