Command Claw fits best in an aggressive or tempo-focused Death Knight deck that consistently attacks with its hero—such as Unholy or Frost builds that generate early board presence and can reliably leverage weapon swings to snowball minion pressure. Since the +2 Attack buff goes to a random friendly minion, it’s strongest in decks that maintain a wide board, making token-style Unholy lists the most natural home, where the incremental damage boosts can push early trades or face damage. However, compared to more impactful Death Knight weapons like Arcanite Ripper (which provides consistent scaling damage through Corpses) or class-defining tempo cards that generate immediate board impact, Command Claw is relatively low power and somewhat inconsistent due to the random buff target. As a result, it could see niche play in budget or hyper-aggressive swarm builds, but in optimized competitive decks there are generally stronger, more reliable options available.
