Earthen Roar (1-mana Hunter spell) would fit best in a tempo- or midrange-style Hunter deck that can efficiently follow up by finishing off damaged minions—especially Dragon Hunter, since the bonus effect requires holding a Dragon to target a second minion. Decks that run cheap pings (like Candleshot-style effects), Rush minions, or Hero Power pressure benefit most because setting Health to 1 converts into clean, low-cost removals and strong tempo swings. However, compared to premium Hunter removal like Hunter’s Mark (which sets Health to 1 for even less conditionally), or more flexible modern tools that deal direct damage without requiring board follow-up, Earthen Roar is somewhat conditional and weaker unless Dragon synergy is consistently active.
