The Unknowable One would fit best in a Rogue handbuff/tempo deck packed with cheap Combo minions, where turning otherwise undersized cards such as SI:7-style tempo bodies into 6/6 threats can create a strong midgame swing; it is especially useful if those minions have valuable Battlecries or can be replayed with Shadowstep effects. However, at 5 mana it is likely too slow and narrow for competitive play, since it does nothing immediately on board, requires several Combo minions already in hand, and can even reduce the stats of minions that are naturally larger than 6/6. The Crystal Cove is generally the better handbuff option because it is cheaper and buffs every minion in hand without overwriting higher base stats, while standard Rogue tempo tools that develop the board or generate immediate value are usually preferable. This card could see fringe play in a dedicated Combo-handbuff deck, but it would probably not be strong enough for most optimized Rogue lists.
