**Vicious Rivalry** would fit best in a Golgari (B/G) midrange or control deck that can comfortably pay life as a resource—especially ones with strong life gain (e.g., *Sheoldred, the Apocalypse*, *Scavenging Ooze*, *The Meathook Massacre*) or that naturally pressure opponents into longer games.
