Wildfire can be a valuable addition to a Mage deck focused on Hero Power synergy, such as a Control Mage or a Highlander Mage deck. While it may not be the most powerful card on its own, when combined with cards like Frost Lich Jaina or Justicar Trueheart, it can provide significant value over the course of a game. However, in more aggressive Mage decks, there may be better options available, such as Mana Wyrm or Sorcerer's Apprentice, making Wildfire a situational choice that may not see widespread play in all Mage decks.
