Assimilating Ooze best fits a board-focused token or tempo deck that can capitalize on getting a second body at the end of the turn, especially with global buffs, minion-synergy payoffs, or effects that benefit from having more targets in play; it is less useful in reactive control decks or decks that cannot protect or exploit a wide board. Its delayed duplicate makes it vulnerable to board clears and limits its immediate impact, so stronger alternatives often exist: for pure board flooding, class-specific token generators and sticky minions are usually more efficient, while neutral options such as `Giggling Inventor` offer immediate multiple bodies plus protection through Taunt. Whether it should see play depends heavily on its stats and the format, but as a generic four-mana neutral minion it is likely a fringe inclusion rather than a staple unless its base stats are unusually strong or a deck has a particularly powerful payoff for summoning or buffing multiple minions.
