About Activated Golem
Activated Golem, Minion, designed by Todd Harris first released in Jun, 2026 in the set Escape from Violet Hold.
Activated Golem (a 4‑mana Neutral minion that regains **Reborn** at the end of each turn) would fit best in slower, board‑centric decks that want sticky minions—such as Control, Midrange, or decks that rely on buffs, deathrattle synergy, or board presence over time—since repeatedly regaining Reborn makes it resilient to removal and good for value trades. It could also have niche synergy in Priest (buffs and resurrection effects), Paladin (hand/deck buffs), or Death Knight (death-based synergies), but at 4 mana it competes with much stronger and more immediately impactful cards like School Teacher, Blademaster Okani, or class-specific power plays that affect the board right away. Because Activated Golem does nothing the turn it’s played and only becomes threatening if unanswered, it is likely too slow for most metas and would probably not see competitive play unless the format strongly rewards persistent minions or death triggers.
