Ancient Augur would fit best in a **hand-disruption or control-style Warlock deck**, especially something like Control Warlock or a slower Renathal-style list that aims to exhaust the opponent’s key resources; being able to look at three cards and secretly mark one for discard on death gives strategic information and targeted disruption, which is strongest against combo or value-heavy decks. However, at 4 mana with delayed payoff (you must also trigger the Deathrattle), it’s likely too slow and inconsistent compared to stronger disruption options like **Theotar, the Mad Duke** (which immediately steals a key card), **Mutanus the Devourer** (which can instantly eat a combo piece), or even classic Warlock discard/control tools like **Tickatus** in slower metas.
