About Ebyssian
Ebyssian, Minion, designed by Timur Shevtsov first released in Feb, 2026 in the set CATACLYSM.
Ebyssian would fit best in a Dragon-focused Hunter deck—specifically a midrange or ramp-style Dragon Hunter that runs a high density of Dragons to consistently trigger its “while in hand” transformation into a 12/12 and fully capitalize on the permanent Rush Battlecry effect; giving all Dragons Rush for the rest of the game is a powerful tempo tool that lets you immediately seize board control, making it especially strong in proactive, board-centric metas. However, the card’s value depends heavily on drawing it early and already having Dragons to play, which can make it slow or inconsistent compared to more immediately impactful Hunter staples like Hope of Quel’Thalas (for raw pressure), Ara’lon (for tempo and board presence), or efficient standalone threats like Hydralodon in Wild; if the format supports a critical mass of strong Dragons and slower matchups, Ebyssian could justify inclusion as a top-end payoff, but in faster metas or non-Dragon builds, it would likely be too condition
