About Humble
Humble, Instant, designed by Val Mayerik first released in Oct, 1998 in the set Urza's Saga and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
A deck that focuses on controlling the board and weakening opponent's creatures would benefit from using Humble in Magic: the Gathering. It can neutralize powerful creatures by stripping them of their abilities and reducing their power and toughness. However, there are arguably better cards like Path to Exile or Swords to Plowshares that offer more versatile removal options. While Humble may have situational uses, it may not see widespread play in competitive decks due to the availability of stronger removal spells.
Rules
06/08/16
Humble overwrites all previous effects that set the creature’s base power and toughness to specific values. Any power- or toughness-setting effects that start to apply after Humble resolves will overwrite this effect.
06/08/16
If the affected creature gains an ability after Humble resolves, it will keep that ability.
