About Wickerfang

Wickerfang, Minion, designed by Todd Harris first released in Feb, 2026 in the set CATACLYSM.

Wickerfang would fit best in a Druid deck built around buffing minions—particularly a token-buff or handbuff-style midrange deck that can repeatedly increase the stats of its Colossal appendages to double-dip on value, since any stat gains on its Legs are mirrored onto the main body, creating massive board pressure if not answered. However, Colossal minions tend to be slow, and in most metas Druid has stronger 6-mana (or equivalent) power plays such as high-impact tempo swings, immediate board stabilization tools, or win-condition enablers that provide value without requiring additional setup; cards that generate instant impact or synergize directly with established archetypes (like ramp payoffs or wide-board buffs) are generally more consistent. As a result, Wickerfang would likely only see niche play in a dedicated buff-synergy build and would usually be outclassed by more immediately impactful or meta-proven midgame threats unless the format strongly supports stat-stacking strategie
