About Arachnathid

Arachnathid, Minion - beast, designed by Konstantin Turovec first released in Jun, 2026 in the set Escape from Violet Hold.

Arachnathid would fit best in a token or swarm-style deck that consistently floods the board with small minions (such as Token Druid, Aggro Paladin, or certain Zoo-style Warlock builds), because giving all friendly minions Poisonous turns even 1/1 tokens into premium removal tools that can instantly clear large threats while pushing tempo. However, at 7 mana and without providing immediate board presence beyond its own Rush body, it risks being a “win-more” card—strong only when you already have a board, and weak when behind. In many cases, cheaper or more flexible cards would be better, such as Zilliax (for immediate impact and sustain), Hollow Hound in Hunter (for board swing and lifesteal), or smaller-scale Poisonous options like Toxfin (in formats where available), which enable efficient trades without requiring a wide board at high cost. Overall, while powerful in theory, Arachnathid would likely be too slow and situational for most competitive decks unless the meta strongly rewar
