About Astral Mediator
Astral Mediator, Minion, designed by Trent Kaniuga first released in September 2026 in the set Reign of the Black Empire.
Astral Mediator would mainly fit a slower Mage deck—especially a Spell Mage or Deathrattle/value deck that can exploit both the Battlecry and Deathrattle for extra resources—but casting a random 3-Cost spell is inconsistent, and spending five mana on a minion whose immediate impact may be weak makes it difficult to justify. In most decks, more reliable options such as `Watercolor Artist` for spell selection, `Mes'Adune, the Fractured` for minion value, or powerful late-game cards like `Norgannon` are better because they provide predictable effects and stronger overall tempo. Unless Astral Mediator has unusually strong stats or the metagame heavily rewards Deathrattle Mage strategies, it probably should not see competitive play; it is more suitable for casual, themed, or high-roll-oriented Mage decks.
