About Bloodfiend
Bloodfiend, Minion, designed by Nicola Saviori first released in September 2026 in the set Reign of the Black Empire.
Bloodfiend fits a corpse-generating, board-control Death Knight deck—most likely a slower Blood, Rainbow, or Corpse-spending Unholy build that can reliably bank Corpses and is willing to damage its own board to clear aggressive opponents’ minions; its best use is as a scalable wipe against wide boards, especially when four damage is needed. However, **Sickly Grimewalker** is generally the better card: it costs only 2 mana, spends fewer Corpses, and damages only enemy minions, making it far more efficient and less punishing to your own board. Bloodfiend could be a niche inclusion if a deck specifically needs access to a four-damage Corpse-powered sweep, but its 4-mana cost, friendly-fire drawback, and need for a stocked Corpse count mean it probably should not see regular competitive play unless the metagame is heavily centered on durable wide boards.
