The Book of Specters card would benefit a Mage deck that focuses more on minion-heavy strategies rather than spell-heavy ones, such as a Tempo Mage or Elemental Mage deck. However, there are better card draw options available for Mage decks, such as Arcane Intellect or Aluneth, which provide more consistent card draw without the risk of discarding important spells.
