Cannonmaster would mainly benefit a low-curve Pirate or token-focused Warrior deck that wants to develop multiple bodies cheaply and maintain board pressure, since its 1/1 Cannoneer provides extra damage while leaving a minion behind; however, the effect is slow, random, and vulnerable to removal, so it is unlikely to see competitive play unless the deck heavily rewards summoning or having multiple Pirates.
