FlavorNeth’rek was the leader of a small Nerubian settlement - but that was before the Lich King came. Appearing content with her life as head chef, the wardens have forgotten to see her as a threat…

About Chef Neth'rek

Chef Neth'rek, Minion, designed by Ivan Fomin first released in Jun, 2026 in the set Escape from Violet Hold.

Chef Neth’Rek would fit best in an aggressive or low-curve combo Druid deck that runs exclusively 0–3 cost cards—think Token Druid, Aggro Druid, or a spell-heavy Miracle-style build—because those archetypes naturally satisfy the deckbuilding restriction while benefiting enormously from jumping to 10 Mana on turn five, enabling explosive reloads, massive boards, or burn/combo turns far earlier than normal; however, the restriction is severe (no ramp like Wild Growth, no late-game bombs, no high-cost finishers), and compared to existing Druid ramp tools like Guff (Wildheart Guff), Overgrowth, or even classic Wild Growth—which provide earlier or more flexible mana acceleration without locking deckbuilding so hard—Chef Neth’Rek is powerful but narrow and potentially win-more in fast metas, so it could see play in a refined low-curve combo shell but would likely be meta-dependent rather than a staple.
