About Code Violet

Code Violet, Spell, designed by Edgar Hidalgo first released in Jun, 2026 in the set Escape from Violet Hold.

**Code Violet** would fit best in a **spell-heavy Mage combo deck**, especially something like a Spell Mage or APM-style Mage that can chain multiple cheap spells in one turn to reliably trigger the “cast 3 other spells” condition; in those decks, summoning one or two random 8‑Cost minions for 7 mana can create massive tempo swings or set up lethal pressure. However, the card’s strength depends heavily on consistency—random 8‑Cost minions can be highroll or lowroll—so it competes with more reliable payoff cards like **Drakefire Amulet** (which summons two Dragons with more control and synergy) or other dedicated win conditions that don’t rely on random outcomes. If the format has enough cheap spell generation and mana reduction to consistently activate the double summon effect, it could absolutely see play as a swing/combo piece; otherwise, it risks being too inconsistent compared to established Mage finishers.
