About G'huun
G'huun, Minion, designed by Alex Horley Orlandelli first released in September 2026 in the set Reign of the Black Empire.
G’huun would mainly benefit a slow, control-oriented Blood Death Knight deck that plays several Blood Rune cards and wants a late-game stabilizer, since damaging the lowest-Health enemies while restoring that much Health could swing races against aggressive decks; however, the effect is unreliable against wide boards, can waste damage through overkill, and an eight-mana card needs a stronger guaranteed impact than this appears to provide. In most cases, Blood DK has better options: Soulstealer or Corpse Explosion are more dependable board clears, while Vampiric Blood provides cheaper and more consistent survivability, and The Primus is a stronger late-game Blood payoff. Unless G’huun has very high base stats or steals a substantial amount of Health—especially with multiple Blood Runes played—it probably should not see competitive play, though it could be a fun inclusion in a heavily Blood-focused control deck.
