About Malicious Presence
Malicious Presence, Spell, designed by Slawomir Maniak first released in September 2026 in the set Reign of the Black Empire.
Malicious Presence would fit a Blood Death Knight–style control or self-sacrifice deck that can turn a damaged, high-Health friendly minion into a large heal while also triggering its Deathrattle; because the healing goes to the destroyed minion’s owner, using it on an enemy minion usually helps the opponent and makes it poor conventional removal. It could be useful with expendable Deathrattle minions or large Taunts that have already absorbed damage, but it is generally less reliable than standard DK removal such as **Obliterate**—which cleanly destroys an enemy minion at the cost of your own Health—or **Asphyxiate**, which has no healing drawback. As a result, Malicious Presence is likely too narrow for most competitive decks and should only see play if a self-destruction/healing payoff deck specifically needs another sacrifice outlet.
