About Maloriak

Maloriak, Minion - dragon, designed by Matt Dixon first released in Mar, 2026 in the set CATACLYSM.

Maloriak would fit best in a **Discard Warlock** deck, particularly in Wild where you can pair it with strong discard enablers like *Cataclysm*, *Soul Barrage*, or *Fist of Jaraxxus*, and powerful minions that you actually want to cheat out—such as high-cost demons or deathrattle threats—since summoning a copy bypasses their mana cost; however, at 7 mana it’s quite slow and competes with more consistent and immediately impactful discard synergy cards like *Silverware Golem* (which summons itself when discarded), *Clutchmother Zavas*, or payoff engines like *Tiny Knight of Evil*, and modern Discard Warlock lists tend to favor low-curve aggression over expensive setup pieces, meaning Maloriak is likely too slow and inconsistent for competitive play unless the meta supports a slower, combo-oriented discard shell, so while it has fun high-roll potential, it probably would not see serious play over existing, more efficient options.
