About Mogu Warmaster
Mogu Warmaster, Minion, designed by James Ryman first released in September 2026 in the set Reign of the Black Empire.
Mogu Warmaster would mainly fit a minion-heavy, spell-combo deck—most plausibly Mage, Druid, or Rogue—that plays cheap neutral minions before casting an expensive spell, although requiring the triggering card to be neutral makes the effect awkward to activate consistently; in practice, cards such as Thalnos, Cult Neophyte, Far Watch Post, or class-specific mana-generating tools usually provide more reliable value, while dedicated payoff minions like Gadgetzan Auctioneer or higher-impact class cards are generally better uses of a three-mana slot. Unless Mogu Warmaster has unusually strong stats or a powerful additional effect, it probably should not see competitive play because a temporary one-mana discount on only the next spell is too conditional, requires the minion to survive or be played at the right time, and does not generate enough immediate tempo or card advantage.
