This card would be beneficial in a control Priest deck that relies heavily on spells for removal and board control. It can help generate additional resources and reduce the cost of key spells, allowing for more efficient use of mana and potentially enabling powerful combos. However, in faster, more aggressive Priest decks, where board presence and tempo are prioritized over spell generation, Palm Reading may not see as much play as other more proactive cards like Apotheosis or Sethekk Veilweaver.
