Cursed Chains would fit best in a control or combo Warlock deck that can exploit temporary minion control for value—especially lists running sacrifice effects (like cards that destroy your own minions for benefit), bounce effects, or board clears that let you remove the stolen minion before it returns; it’s particularly appealing in slower Control Warlock builds that aim to disrupt big threats rather than in aggressive Zoo-style decks. However, compared to existing options like **Sylvanas Windrunner**, **Mind Control Tech** (in token-heavy metas), or more directly comparable temporary-control cards such as **Shadow Madness** (Priest) or **Threaten**-style effects in other classes, Cursed Chains is weaker because the minion can’t attack and only lasts until the end of the opponent’s turn, limiting immediate tempo impact unless you can combo it.
