Spiritspeaker would fit best in a Midrange or Beast Hunter deck that values board development and tempo, since being able to *choose* your Animal Companion (Huffer for burst, Misha for defense, or Leokk for board-wide pressure) makes it more consistent than the original 3-mana **Animal Companion**, especially in decks that rely on precise damage breakpoints or board protection. However, at 4 mana it competes with strong Hunter cards like **Wild Spirits**, **Houndmaster Shaw** (in Wild), or other efficient 4-drops that may provide more immediate or scaling value, and modern Hunter decks often favor either aggressive low-curve pressure or powerful late-game swing cards rather than fair midrange minions. While the flexibility is strong and better than the original Animal Companion in terms of consistency, it would likely only see play if the meta favors midrange board battles, as faster or more combo-oriented Hunter builds would probably have stronger, more synergistic options.
