About Survivalist

A 9-mana neutral minion with “Immune while you control no other minions” would mainly fit into slow control or combo decks that frequently clear the board and don’t rely on developing multiple minions at once—such as heavy Control Warrior, Blood Death Knight, or certain Reno-style decks—since it can act as a difficult-to-remove solo threat after a board wipe. However, at 9 mana, it competes with far more impactful late-game finishers like Ysera, Unleashed; Sire Denathrius; or various Colossal minions, which provide immediate value, board impact, or win conditions without requiring you to have an empty board. Because its Immune condition restricts your own development and offers no immediate effect beyond survivability, it’s generally too slow and low-impact for most metas, so unless its stats are dramatically above curve, it likely would not see consistent competitive play.
