About Clockwork Boars
Clockwork Boars, Spell, designed by Patrik Bjorkstrom first released in September 2026 in the set Reign of the Black Empire.
Clockwork Boars would mainly benefit a low-curve Aggro, Mech, or Beast Hunter deck that can exploit immediate face damage and then enhance the 1/1 bodies with buffs, Magnetize effects, or board-wide payoffs; however, two mana for only two total attack is fairly underpowered unless those tribal synergies are especially strong. Cards such as `Quick Shot` generally provide better immediate value and reach, while stronger token options like `Adorable Infestation` or any efficient Mech generator can create a more durable board for a similar cost. Clockwork Boars could see play in a highly specialized aggressive Mech-Beast list, but it would not be an automatic inclusion and is probably too weak for competitive Hunter decks without additional synergy.
