About Disguised Executioner

Disguised Executioner, Minion, designed by Kevin Sidharta first released in Jun, 2026 in the set Escape from Violet Hold.

Disguised Executioner is a niche tech card that fits best in control or disruption-focused decks that can manipulate board states, such as Priest, Warlock, or slower Rogue builds, because its ability to be played on either side allows flexible removal or combo disruption by targeting adjacent minions; it’s especially useful against decks that stack key minions together (like buffs or deathrattle setups). However, since the destruction is random and requires adjacency, it’s unreliable compared to more consistent 3-mana removal options like Shadow Word: Death (Priest), Assassinate or Serrated Bone Spike (Rogue), or even neutral cards like Blademaster Okani (for disruption) or Rustrot Viper (as a tech choice). Because of its randomness and conditional value, it’s unlikely to see consistent competitive play outside of very specific metas where adjacency-based combos are common, making it more of a situational or creative inclusion than a staple.
