About Three Visits
Three Visits, Sorcery, designed by Qu Xin first released in May, 1999 in the set Portal Three Kingdoms and was printed exactly in 20 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.
A deck focused on ramping up mana quickly, such as a green-based ramp deck or a landfall deck, would benefit from using Three Visits to efficiently search for and put a Forest onto the battlefield. However, the card Nature's Lore is generally considered better as it has the same effect but can search for any non-basic Forest land, providing more flexibility. Three Visits could still see play in decks that specifically need a basic Forest and want redundancy in their ramp spells.

Because the “search” requires you to find a card with certain characteristics, you don’t have to find the card if you don’t want to.
