This card, Lightning Storm, would be beneficial in a Shaman control deck that focuses on board control and removal of enemy minions. While it can be effective in clearing the board, the randomness of its damage output makes it somewhat unreliable. Cards like Volcano or Hagatha's Scheme might be better options for consistent board clears in a control Shaman deck. However, Lightning Storm could still see play as a situational tech choice against aggressive minion-based decks.
