This card, Lord of the Arena, would be beneficial in a control or defensive deck that aims to protect other valuable minions or the hero by diverting enemy attacks. However, in the current meta, there are better options like Boulderfist Ogre or Primordial Drake that offer more value for their cost and have additional effects. Lord of the Arena may not see much play in competitive decks unless there is a specific strategy that requires a Taunt minion with a higher health pool.
