About Slay
Slay, Instant, designed by Ben Thompson first released in May, 2020 in the set Planeshift and was printed exactly in 6 different ways.
This card, Slay, would be beneficial in a black control deck that aims to remove specific threats on the board, especially against green creature-heavy decks. While Slay is effective for its mana cost, a potentially better alternative could be Murder, which has a similar effect for the same mana cost but can target any creature, not just green ones. However, Slay could still see play in sideboards or specific metas where green creatures are prevalent.
