This card would be beneficial in a deck focused on controlling the board and protecting key creatures. While Subdue can be useful in certain situations, there are better options available such as Path to Exile or Swords to Plowshares which provide more versatile removal at a lower cost. Subdue could see play in specific metas or sideboard situations, but may not be a staple in most competitive decks.
