About Ascendance

Ascendance, Spell, designed by Timur Shevtsov first released in Mar, 2026 in the set CATACLYSM.

Ascendance fits best in a Shaman deck that floods the board with multiple mid‑sized minions—such as Token Shaman, Evolve Shaman, or Deathrattle/Sticky board builds—because it upgrades your entire board into higher‑cost minions while preserving value by resummoning the originals on death, making it especially strong with wide boards of cheap minions or minions that already have powerful Deathrattles. It synergizes well with cards that generate multiple bodies (like school generators or totem support) and with evolve-style strategies that want layered boards. However, in pure Evolve Shaman, cards like *Primordial Wave* or classic evolve effects (e.g., *Convincing Disguise* or similar transform tools) are often more flexible or cheaper, while in token builds, burst finishers like *Bloodlust* can be more immediately game-ending.
