About Expunge
Expunge, Instant, designed by Christopher Moeller first released in Oct, 1998 in the set Urza's Saga and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
Expunge is a versatile removal spell that can fit well in a black control or midrange deck looking to efficiently deal with threats. While it's a solid removal option, there are arguably better alternatives like Fatal Push or Murder that offer more flexibility or power for a similar cost. Expunge could see play in certain metagames where its specific targeting restrictions are valuable, but in most cases, there are stronger options available.
