A deck that focuses on card draw and resource generation, such as a control or combo Shaman deck, would benefit from using Ancestral Knowledge. While the card draw is valuable, the Overload cost of (1) can hinder your tempo in the following turn. There are better card draw options available in Hearthstone, such as Far Sight or Mana Tide Totem, which provide card advantage without the Overload drawback. Overall, Ancestral Knowledge may not see much play in competitive decks due to its limitations compared to other card draw options.
