About Crypt Ghast
Crypt Ghast, Creature — spirit, designed by Chris Rahn first released in Feb, 2013 in the set Gatecrash and was printed exactly in 8 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.
Crypt Ghast would be a great addition to a mono-black or black-white control deck that focuses on draining opponents' life while gaining life for yourself. Its ability to generate extra black mana when tapping Swamps can help ramp up to bigger spells faster. However, there are better options like Gray Merchant of Asphodel, which has a similar life-draining effect but with a potentially higher impact. Crypt Ghast could still see play in decks looking for additional mana acceleration and incremental life drain effects.
