About Impulsivity
Impulsivity, Creature — elemental incarnation, designed by Alex Konstad first released in Jan, 2026 in the set Lorwyn Eclipsed Commander and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.
Impulsivity fits best in red-based spellslinger, graveyard-value, or big-mana Commander decks that can reliably stock graveyards (yours or opponents’) with high-impact instants and sorceries—think Izzet, Jeskai, Grixis, or Rakdos builds that wheel, loot, mill, or run powerful spells like extra turns, big draw, or splashy finishers. Its ETB effect is strongest in multiplayer where graveyards are full, and Encore is particularly potent in Commander because each token can recast a different spell, generating massive swing turns. However, at 7 mana it competes with more efficient options like Mizzix’s Mastery (often better for explosive spell-based decks), Mnemonic Deluge (stronger late-game blowout), Underworld Breach (more combo-oriented and cheaper), or even Torrential Gearhulk in blue decks for instant-speed value. Whether it should see play depends on power level: in casual to mid-power Commander it’s a flashy, fun value engine that likely earns a slot, but in high-power or optimized
