This card would be beneficial in a Shaman deck focused on card draw and mana ramp, as it allows you to recover from being overloaded and refill your hand. While Thorim, Stormlord has its strengths, other cards like Far Sight or Mana Tide Totem may provide more consistent value in certain situations. However, in a deck specifically designed around exploiting its effect, Thorim, Stormlord could certainly see play as a powerful tool for resource generation.
